Welcome to the 45th
week of My Sexy Saturday.
This week might seem like a
little departure but really, it isn’t. Aren’t there lots of characters you know
that are the driving force of a book? In sci-fi, many times it is the one in
the Captain’s Chair. That chair represents a lot and something different to
each character or reader.
For readers, it can be the
one in charge. For writers, it can mean so much more. So, this week, we want to
know about those characters who are the ones that sit in the chair or the ones that
drive the story to its ultimate end.
Now remember, they have to
respect the chair. And respecting the chair can mean a lot of things. Such as
they aren’t the Captain or the Alpha or the CEO of that company. They respect
what that chair represents. Or they want to make passionate love to the one in
the chair until they are both, or maybe it’s the three of them, know exactly
who is in charge.
Yeah, the chair is something
of a sex symbol here at My Sexy Saturday. Remember, we write about those
characters. The ones that have survived a war, a lost love, a horrible love, a devastating
disease but somehow still manage to be the one in charge. The one sitting in
the Captain’s chair. The list goes on and on. They are the characters that
inspire you, motivate you to be better than you are. Or more than you are. The
ones that make you cry, make you laugh and on whose journey you want to know
what happens every step of the way.
These are the ones that fall
in love and fall in love deeply, truly, forever. These are those you want on
your side for any situation. And it is those characters that be it writer or
reader, we care for them, wanting to know every aspect of their lives.
Share with us this week those
characters who are in charge and wield it in such a way that everyone loves
them. Even those they think don’t. They don’t realize their power because it is
natural to them. Right. These are the characters that appeal to all and each
are different in lots of ways. Show us the characters that make our hearts
sing, make us cry, make us wish for a better tomorrow…help us show them that
they are more than the chair.
Share those scenes with us
this week. From the moment our couple meets, their first hot kiss, to the
fulfillment of a dream, show us the wonders of finding, falling in love and
loving your significant other. Show us how they come into their own as they become
the one to sit in a position of power.
Giving our readers even more
to drool, sigh and love about our stories is our number one goal. Let’s show
our readers that happily-ever-afters start with that one special moment, be it
soft and gentle or rough and fast. We love good parts of the stories where the
characters are making love or about to be loved. Forever. Share each and every
moment with this week!
If your story has one or more
of these fabulous love scenes in it where the character finds out exactly what
it means to be in the Captain’s chair or the power it holds, please share them
with us…if not…share those sexy moments that you do have between your
characters. Every relationship is important!
Sexy can be anything such as
romantic moments like walks on the beach, a home cooked meal or even in another
galaxy. It could be two lovers here on Earth dreaming about the day where they
go on a magical vacation to another planet. Or staying right here at one of
those wonderful places we can find in our own world.
Readers want to see those
characters, the ones who can’t get enough of each other as well as ones who are
fighting their way back to being part of the world once again. These are the
types of characters they can’t forget, the one they want to take home and keep
forever. Readers love the kisses, the looks, the touch of each and every one of
our characters.
Sexy has nothing to do with
looks or status or even wealth. It doesn’t demand perfection and it isn’t
pretentious but it does make us want to read those books.
We know that everyone has their
own idea of sexy and we all love sexy!
