Welcome to the 51^st week of My Sexy Saturday.

This week is all about my sexy howl.  And you all know what we mean…don’t you?

It’s all about the shifters this week. Those sexy beings that howl in the night. Or in the day when necessary. Shifters are downright sexy and if you have one, we want to see them.

Shifters come in all makes and sizes. They can be a wolf, a bear, an eagle or any variety of things but all meant to protect the one they love. You can have a pack or make your own pack with a variety of them. But will be a compassionate, caring being that once they find their significant other, will never let them go.

Everyone needs to feel loved and shifters aren’t any different. Some hate the fact they shift because they feel it distances them from their loved ones. Others use that different to protect all their loved one knows and wants. Others still, hide in the shadows and we can’t wait to see how they lure the one they desire to their side of the tracks.

Shifters are hot, shifters are cool and this week shifters are us. Shifters are special characters who may have survived a war, a lost love, a horrible love, a devastating event or illness but somehow still manage to want to find a love that completes them into having a full life.  These are the characters that inspire you, motivate you to be better than you are or more than you are. The ones that make you cry, make you laugh and on whose journey you want to know what happens every step of the way.

These are the ones that fall in love and fall in love deeply, truly, forever. A shifter is a person or couple you want on your side for any situation. And it is these characters that you, writer or reader, care for and want to know every aspect of their lives as each page unfolds the story.

Welcome to the 47^th week of My Sexy Saturday.

This week it’s all about sexy forever. We’re sure you’re wondering just what we mean by that. As we see it, there are two interpretations for this week: 1) you have a couple who is or will be sexy forever, 2) you have an older hero or heroine that is sexy forever. We can see you scratching your head, saying ‘huh?’ so here’s what we’re thinking.

In our writing, there are couples who are awesome. Actually beyond awesome and the readers want more of them and only them. There are stories out there dedicated to this type of couple and we’d love to see you share those snippets of the couple who will always be sexy in our minds, no matter where they are in their relationship.

Then there are those heroes or heroines who are ageless. Meaning, they may be older but they aren’t out of the game. Older can be wonderful and awesome and oh, so sexy. These folks can be ordinary or maybe they’re shifters or vamps who have lived a long, long time. We don’t care but we think that they are hot and sizzling. We’d love to have you share some of those snippets with us.

This week might seem like a little departure but really, it isn’t. Aren’t there lots of characters you know that are the driving force of a book? In sci-fi, many times it is the one in the Captain’s Chair. That chair represents a lot and something different to each character or reader.

For readers, it can be the one in charge. For writers, it can mean so much more. So, this week, we want to know about those characters who are the ones that sit in the chair or the ones that drive the story to its ultimate end.

Now remember, they have to respect the chair. And respecting the chair can mean a lot of things. Such as they aren’t the Captain or the Alpha or the CEO of that company. They respect what that chair represents. Or they want to make passionate love to the one in the chair until they are both, or maybe it’s the three of them, know exactly who is in charge.

Yeah, the chair is something of a sex symbol here at My Sexy Saturday. Remember, we write about those characters. The ones that have survived a war, a lost love, a horrible love, a devastating disease but somehow still manage to be the one in charge. The one sitting in the Captain’s chair. Welcome to the 37th week of My Sexy Saturday.

We all know that the X in sexy is for those kissing our characters give each other. Long, hot, slow kisses meant to melt a characters heart…or those reading about them. Who can even forget the first kiss they read about? No matter who the characters were, it was something etched in your readers mind even today.

So, let’s give our readers even more kisses to love. Let’s show that our characters revel in their happily-ever-afters and our enjoyment of writing each and every part of their journey. Especially the kiss. Long, hot, slow kisses meant to last three days. Up a body, down a body…on parts we leave to the imagination…or share with glorious detail. If you haven’t realized already…this week is all about the kisses…and the kissing. Share each and every moment with us. We’ll love it…guaranteed!

We love good parts of the stories where the characters are kissing or about to be kissed. We love those stories where one of those characters has to teach the other what kissing is all about. We love it every time when they get together and show us just how they feel with those fiery kisses. Share them with us this week!

Sexy can be anything such as romantic moments like walks on the beach, a home cooked meal or even in another galaxy. Or staying right here at one of those wonderful places we can find in our own world.

Readers want to see those characters, the ones who can’t get enough of each other as well as ones who are fighting their way back to being part of the world once again. These are the types of characters they can’t forget, the one they want to take home and keep forever. Readers love the kisses, the looks, the touch of each and every one of our characters.  

Sexy has nothing to do with looks or status or even wealth. It doesn’t demand perfection and it isn’t pretentious but it does make us want to read those books.

We know that everyone has their own idea of sexy and we all love sexy!

Face it, we love characters coming back together after a fight, a long hiatus from each other or maybe it was a lifetime. We love seeing those characters getting their sexy back, remembering how it was to love someone. We love stories with demons, angels and vampires. And maybe even zombies. Why? Because we love seeing them coming back to love, to getting their sexy back. Going from a character that’s not redeemable to one we love and cherish.

Sexy can be anything. Romantic moments like walks on the beach, a home cooked meal or even in another galaxy. It could two lovers here on Earth dreaming about the day where they go on a magical vacation to another planet. Or staying right here at one of those wonderful places we can find in our own world.

Those types become the characters they can’t forget, the one they want to take home and keep forever. Readers love the kisses, the looks, the touch and help the unredeemable find his place in our world.

Welcome to the 32nd week of My Sexy Saturday.

We’ve always loved the song Underneath It All by Gwen Stefani. To us, it has always been about the beauty on the inside of a person. Outsides are important but if the inside is rotten to the core, what does a pretty face matter? Share with the readers just why your unlikeable characters are likeable and redeemable.

You know the ones we’re talking about. The demon who loves a woman. The vampire who will do anything to save the human he loves. Or just the plain Jane next door who becomes the most desirable woman on the planet. Share just what is underneath the surface.

Sexy can be those moments during a moonlit walk on the beach, a romantic dinner, flying a spaceship where your hero has been forced to be with the same tempting person for days. It could be two lovers gazing at those stars and dreaming of space travel…or a backyard pool…each and every moment spent learning what is inside a character is important to the readers.

Readers want to see what makes a character tick and what is inside that makes the character endearing. They love the first kiss in an unlikely match, the first time the characters make love or are just aware of each other. It can be the look shared across the room, the nerd who makes our heart pound, the construction worker who can’t wait to get in our hot tub or the fireman that we bought at the charity auction. Sexy has nothing to do with looks or status or even wealth. It doesn’t demand perfection and it isn’t pretentious but it does make us want to read those books.
